What exactly can you get for $40?

We got a challenge from our friends at Fresh Living.

Find an entire outfit for $40.

So we searched… and found WAY too many options.

Here are our final two outfits:

Brooke’s outfit: Shirt: TJ Maxx $7 Necklace & Bracelet: Forever 21 $8 Skirt: Cotton Blossom $15 Shoes: Charlotte Rousse $10

Britt’s Outfit: Shirt: Ann Taylor Loft $5 Earrings: Forever 21 $4 Jeans: Forever 21 $9.80 Shoes: Forever 21 $18.50

Our 3 Rules:

1. Never buy ANYTHING full price. It will go on sale.

2. Go straight to the sale rack.

3. Be Creative.

We had so much fun with this segment, and while we were putting it together realized almost every outfit we wear is less than $40. It is totally possible if you are just willing to look around a little. Word to the wise: Ann Taylor Loft is a treasure chest right now! Go check out their sale section!

Academy of Country Music Awards

Brooke and I got the fun assignment of dressing our favorite weather woman, Debbie Worthen for her trip to the Academy of Country Music Awards. Debbie is as cute and petite as they come, so we knew it would be a blast! We decided to choose three different looks and then let the audience decide on the final look..

Here are the choices:

Look #1 The Little Black Dress

Look #2 Country Casual

Look #3 Blinged Out Country

And the winner is…

Blinged Out Country! People could not get enough of the amazing jewelry and fantastic black cowboy boots.

Debbie’s Review of the ACMs:

– Taylor Swift’s dress was not as pretty in person as in photos.

– Carrie Underwood’s legs are even more impressive in person.

-Steven Tyler and Carrie brought down the house with their performance.

So glad she had fun! Thanks for letting us help Debbie!

PROM

Let’s go back to 2006…

Brooke was Senior Class President, I was Senior Class Vice President.

This meant we had one HUGE responsibility… planning Prom.

We researched, organized, and worked for an entire school year to create the perfect Prom.

The only problem? We needed dresses…preferably that did not make us look like Josie Grossie ala Never Been Kissed.

We found a secret little store that offered runway dresses for dirt cheap. Awesome.

Fast forward to 2011…

We were asked to do a fashion segment on Prom.

Our favorite little secret store is now closed…which made it a lot harder.

Luckily, it was on April Fool’s Day, so we got to have a little bit of fun.

You can watch it here:

Spring Dresses

Here is our latest segment on one of our favorite clothing items… spring dresses! We featured three different looks. All of the splurges came from Anthropologie, while the steals were from local Utah boutiques. Even though there is still snow on the ground, we are ready for dresses and sandals!

See if you can pick the steal from the splurge! Watch the segment here:

B&B: Twins on 2

Hello! We are identical twins, fashion obssessed, and just happen to both work as producers at KUTV Channel 2 in Salt Lake City. We have finally decided to start blogging about our fashion segments. We do segments on the KUTV 2 Morning Show as well as Fresh Living. Here is one of our most recent segments: Vintage Trends.
We were inspired by these celeb looks:
