Silk’n Infinity Laser Hair Removal Honest Review

I am finally giving an update to the Silk’n Infinity Laser Hair Removal product I started using about 9 months ago. It is not recommended for use while pregnant or nursing, so I eagerly waited until I could use it. I have been using it regularly, about every 2-3 weeks. Let’s just get one thing out of the way first – I am a hairy beast. Like, this is the perfect product for me because I have pale skin and thick, dark hair. So, if you are blonde and tan, this may not work. Or, if you have olive or darker skin tones, it may not work. This system of laser technology needs pale skin and dark hair to work effectively.

The Silk’n Infinity‘s eHPL™ technology uses pulses of light to get rid of hair. You can buy one here.

It is EASY

It is so easy to use. I was worried about the learning curve and I shouldn’t have been. It comes with a great little booklet that explains how to use the product. It requires very little set-up, you really just plug it in and turn it on.

It saves TIME

As someone who has spent thousands of dollars and way too many hours in medical spas getting professional laser hair removal treatments done, this is such a welcome tool! I used to spend 30 minutes driving to a very popular spa and then would be there for about an hour getting my laser treatments. Not only that, but they would apply ultrasound gel everywhere they were going to laser, so I would leave feeling like a goopy mess. As if it isn’t humiliating enough having someone laser your bikini area, let them squirt ice cold gel on it right before. Miserable.

I can do my entire body – armpits, bikini area and legs in less than 10 minutes with the Silk’n Infinity. .

It saves MONEY

I know $400 may seem like a steep price, but if you compare it to the cost of getting professional laser hair removal done, it is a steal. Typical laser treatments cost about $400-$500 per area. That means if you want to get your underarms, bikini and legs, you would be paying well over $1,500. Not only that, but unfortunately it doesn’t last forever. Pregnancy taught me that. All of the hair grew back – and then some. So you do need to do touch-ups and treatments repeatedly through the years. I think it has been such a great investment. You can also share the tool with a sister or friend and pay half the cost. I have let many friends and family members try mine out before they purchase their own. Of course I thoroughly sanitize it after every use.

You look incredibly SILLY using it

My husband now knows if I’m walking around the house with sunglasses on, I’m headed to do some laser hair removal. Ha. But seriously, don’t forget to wear sunglasses! You never want to stare directly at the laser and the sunglasses will protect your eyes. You will for sure feel like an idiot and that’s just part of the fun.

It actually WORKS

I am thrilled to report that it actually works. I have been faithfully using it and have noticed the biggest difference in my underarms and bikini area. My legs are more stubborn (and also tanner) and have not been working as well.

UNDERARMS

I was back to the point of having a permanent shadow – even right after shaving. Now, I can go 3 days without shaving and I never have any visible shadow. The hair in my underarms has thinned dramatically. I think if this product only worked on underarms, I would still buy it. I’ve been so pleased with the progress.

BIKINI AREA

I have held my breath through many bikini and brazilian waxes and I’m happy to report this is a lot less painful. Unlike a wax, it has not gotten rid of all the hair, but it has thinned the hair dramatically.

LEGS

I regularly use self-tanner on my legs, so they are darker than the other areas. I have not noticed a huge improvement, but maybe a slight thinning. I think I may need more time to see better results on my legs.I also think my skin tone on my legs does play a role in it not working quite as effectively.

You can SHAVE

One of the best parts about the product is the fact that you are supposed to use it right after you shave and shower. This makes it such a simple step to add to my routine. You don’t have to apply any gel (thank heavens!) and can easily finish your entire body in 10 minutes. There is nothing worse than wearing long pants in the middle of summer because you haven’t shaved for 3 weeks while waiting to get your legs waxed. Shave and be free! It’s so great.

It doesn’t HURT

It is not painful. If you are interested in buying a laser hair removal tool, chances are you’ve gotten a wax before and this is way less painful than that. If you’ve done professional laser hair removal, you know it can sometimes feel like the snap of a rubber band. Maybe a tiny sting, but nothing more. I think it is less painful than any of the professional treatments I have had. There are also 5 different intensities you can choose from, so you can start slow and ease into it.
I think I’ve covered everything, but if you have questions, please feel free to ask!
